Projects you can undertake:

These are the briefs you can choose from to produce your A-level materials:

You can work in groups of up to 4 and must catalogue your work on the blogs as you go. You must create new blogs and have a link to your old one.

1. A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video, together with two of the following three options:

a website homepage for the band;

a cover for its release as part of a digipak (CD/DVD package);

a magazine advertisement for the digipak (CD/DVD package).

2. A promotion package for a new film, to include a teaser trailer, together with two of the following three options:

a website homepage for the film;

a film magazine front cover, featuring the film;

a poster for the film.

3. A promotion package for a new soap opera, to include a TV trailer, together with two of the following three options:

a listings magazine front cover featuring the new soap;

two hyperlinked webpages (with video extract) for the soap’s website;

a poster for the soap.

4. An extract from a new documentary TV programme, lasting approximately five minutes, together with two of the following three options:

a radio trailer for the documentary;

a double-page spread from a listings magazine focused on the documentary;

a newspaper advertisement for the documentary.

5. A short film in its entirety, lasting approximately five minutes, which may be live action or animated or a combination of both, together with two of the following three options:

a poster for the film;

a radio trailer for the film;

a film magazine review page featuring the film.

THE A LEVEL STARTS HERE!

So you made it on to A2 - well done, hopefully you enjoyed the first part of the course and will now be in a position to build on your skills and knowledge - there is a lot more directed time available to you in this part of the course; make sure you use it wisely.

You must put in the hours on your own as half of the grade for this year is for your coursework and then half of the exam is based around you writing about your experiences and knowledge in a critical manner.
